(Republican Insider) – Former President Donald Trump is now calling for an investigation to be conducted into both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and what he referred to as “powerful corporations” for “systematically colluding” to advance a “censorship regime” in a video he posted on Rumble this week.
And this is something that is long, long overdue. How many conservatives have been demanding that something be done about the censorship on Twitter, as it was fairly obvious when it started that things were one sided, leaning in favor of the radical left?
It’s time for real action to be taken in order to hold the FBI and the companies who joined with the agency to silence the political opposition of the Democrats accountable for what they have done and the destruction they have caused to American culture.
“The now-famous Twitter Files have proven beyond all doubt that the corrupt officials at the FBI have been coordinating a massive censorship, surveillance and propaganda campaign against the American people and, frankly, against me,” Trump remarked in the video posted on Rumble, according to Harold Hutchison of the Daily Caller. “In the most recent and notorious example, the FBI worked to stop the truth from being told about the Biden family’s criminality.”
“Journalist Michael Shellenberger reported that the FBI contacted Twitter about potential leaks involving Hunter Biden prior to the New York Post reporting on the contents of a laptop Biden abandoned at a computer repair shop. The documents Shellenberger obtained revealed that the FBI paid Twitter almost $3.5 million to reimburse the company for time spent responding to requests from the agency,” Hutchison wrote.
The bureau promised they would be the “belly button” for requests made by the intelligence community, as per a tweet from journalist Matt Taibbi. I mean, what in the heck does that even mean? Why would you use that as an explanation for the role you planned to play? Not only is the FBI a weapon in the hands of progressives, they are also extremely weird too.

“As recent reporting shows, the FBI and other rogue agencies have been systematically colluding with former national security officials placed in high positions at Twitter, and very likely other companies, to advance their censorship regime, which is really, in this case, to steal an election,” Trump continued. “This anti-American effort, and a very illegal effort at that, has been working to silence dissenting opinions on COVID and crucial issues on public health and on the election and elections in the future.”

“They suppressed doctors and health experts who dared to question approved public health narratives,” the former president said. “They censored voices who criticized school closures, lockdowns and mandates, and they even banned people simply for stating proven scientific facts.”
“The new Congress should immediately hold hearings to investigate the role of the FBI and other federal agencies in censoring lawful speech,” he then added. “Congressional leaders should promptly issue subpoenas in furtherance of this goal.”
On Tuesday the House voted to establish a Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government in a party-line vote.
“This was about government working with powerful corporations to seize power over you, the American people, and we can’t let that continue,” Trump asserted.
The American people already knew they could not trust their government, but after finding out that it was actively working to silence their voices when they wanted to present a view that differed from the narrative the government was attempting to establish, well, that’s going too far. It’s time to rein things in before they grow beyond any sort of control or accountability.
