BOMBSHELL: Michigan Election Official Charged With Ballot Tampering…

(Republican Insider) – If you believe the mainstream media and their take on the 2020 presidential election, then you have to believe that there’s no such thing as election fraud. It simply doesn’t exist. It’s all just a figment of your imagination and nothing more. A cheap ploy by the conservative mind to try and produce the outcome to the election that they want, as they are unable to accept the truth that they lost.

The whole idea that the election was stolen is just a cover for racism and discrimination in the form of election integrity laws like voter ID. If you dare to broach the subject, well, you’re just one of those QAnon nuts and should be dismissed without a second thought.

However, according to The Western Journal, “Oh, by the way, an elections official in a Michigan city is now charged with tampering with ballots so they couldn’t be counted in a 2020 race she narrowly won and could spend five years in prison on each of two felony charges. Nothing to see here!”

“The case of Kathy Funk hardly represents large-scale election fraud, but it’s illustrative of how this isn’t an imaginary phenomenon constructed by far-right fabulists. So it might not be a surprise that the charges against Funk aren’t going to get much coverage in the mainstream media,” the report went on to say.

“According to a report by MLive-The Flint Journal, Funk was the township clerk in Flint Township, Michigan, running for reelection as a Democrat back in 2020, and oversaw the election as well,” the report continued.

Public broadcaster, Michigan Radio, went on to report that back during the August primary, Funk had reported a break-in at the township’s offices to the police, going on to say that the seal on the ballot container had been broken.

However, after the Michigan State Police conducted an investigation into the matter, the office of Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel came to an entirely different conclusion: Funk was the person who had broken the seal.

“The Department of Attorney General alleges Funk purposely broke a seal on a ballot container so that the votes inside, under Michigan Election Law, could not be counted in an anticipated recount,” the Michigan Department of Attorney General went on to say in a Friday statement.

“Funk was running for re-election, and narrowly prevailed in the unofficial count,” the statement said.

But remember folks, there’s no such thing as election fraud.

Funk would go on to eventually beat her challenger, Manya Triplett, by a margin of 2,698 votes to 2,619.

“In the MLive.com-The Flint Journal report, Triplett said that she’d asked for a recount after she said she witnessed suspicious activity at the township’s offices in the days before and after the primary,” the WJ report said.

“Triplett was told the break-in prevented any recount, given the tampering with the ballot boxes, according to the report. Funk now faces felony charges of ballot tampering and misconduct in office, both of which carry potential five-year sentences if she’s convicted,” the report added.

She then pleaded not guilty at her arraignment held on Monday.

“Election officials must uphold the integrity of their positions. Those who abuse that commitment undermine the very foundation of our democracy,” Nessel stated. “Our department is committed to prosecuting election violations, regardless of the political party of the perpetrator.”

Nessel, who is a Democrat and a rather polarizing figure herself, seems to sound almost regretful about the last part. However, if Funk had been a member of the GOP, you can all but guarantee she would have been gleefully celebrating the whole situation.

Now, a lot of news outlets and other liberals will be quick to dismiss this whole thing since it comes from a small area.

In fact, The Associated Press makes sure you understand that in the big picture, this is small potatoes.

“An AP review of election fraud in Michigan and five other battleground states found that state officials identified a total of 56 potential instances of voter fraud in Michigan, a number that represents less than 1% of President Joe Biden’s margin of victory in the state,” the AP said.

“Not that anyone had actually brought up any connection between the charges against Funk and the 2020 presidential election. The AP’s point is to report on a criminal election fraud case — and then to assure everyone there’s no such thing as voter fraud, at least not on a consequential level. Why even report on it in the first place?” the report continued.

And Funk? Well, she’s not the township clerk for Flint Township since she resigned. However, she didn’t resign over the criminal charges she’s facing.

She left her current position to take a new one as the elections supervisor for Genesee County, Michigan, which is the state’s fifth most populous county.

But hey, just small potatoes, right?

  1. I can only imagine the guilty party is black, as blacks are always involved in voter fraud. When they catch one of these black voter fraudulent nut jobs I wish they’d have a short trial for “Treason”, find them guilty of Treason, and let them dance all night, around and around, to the tune of the “Hangman’s Jig”, then walk off and leave them hanging out there, blowing in the wind, until the Crows and Mag Pies pluck their stinking eyeballs out of their dead skull and just maybe, hopefully, the Crow could pluck out their dead tongue’s, then let them hang their until they rot, stink, and until the rope breaks and their dead corpus drops off the rope and they fall (splat) on the ground so the Rats can eat their dead bodies. That is how much contempt I have for an American who cheats in voter fraud! I say, “Hang em all and Hang em high!”.
