BREAKING: Democratic Legislator Announces She’s Flipping To The Republican Party

(Republican Insider) – There has been a new trend emerging in the political sphere as of late. It seems there are a lot of Democrats who are having their eyes opened concerning the truth of their own political party and are realizing that Republicans are not only the good guys on most issues, but the principles the GOP holds to, by those who are true conservatives, are the foundation of our liberty.

According to The Western Journal, Harriet Holman is the latest Democrat to decide enough is enough and switch parties. Holman is a member of the Democratic council in Dorchester County, South Carolina. She’s now running for re-election as a member of the Republican Party.

So what caused Holman to make the change?

“Some things that I had looked at, that I just didn’t agree with any longer,” Holman went on to say during an appearance on Fox News.

“One of the things was that I am just totally pro-life, and I am about capitalism, and I am for funding the police. And so those things are what made me make my final decision,” she stated.

“Holman was elected as a Democrat in 2019. But since then, she said she has watched things going on across the country, and she find herself disagreeing with the Democratic party,” the report said.

“I have looked at things that are going on in the country right now, and some things I don’t agree with, and I agree with the republican agenda,” Holman continued, according to a report from WCSC.

“I decided to make the switch because first it was in my heart. I am a conservative, and I have been living that lifestyle for years,” she stated during the interview.

Holman is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Army and has actually been mulling over the party switch for over six months.

“Holman has made her switch clear to her constituency and said that she is not changing anything she has previously stood for — just her political party,” the WJ report said.

“I have talked to my constituents, and one thing that my constituents know is that I am still Harriet Holman,” Holman said during her chat with WCSC. “There’s an ‘R’ behind my name, but I still work and am a servant for the people in Dorchester County.”

Holman is just one example out of many who have decided to ditch the Democratic Party and turn to the GOP.

Several state lawmakers made the switch just last year. Four Democrats in state Houses of Representatives went from Democrat to Republican.

It’s not just politicians. It seems the political landscape is going through a massive shift as well.

“Gallup reported in January that 2021 marked a large shift in political parties for all American voters. Preferences shifted from a nine-point Democratic advantage to a five-point GOP edge,” the report from WJ continued.

A lot of folks are expecting a pretty sizable “red wave” for the Republicans during the midterms this year.

“In the first quarter of 2021 Democrats enjoyed the largest lead that the party has seen since the fourth quarter of 2012, Gallup reported,” the report added.

“Gallup also noted that the shift in party lines is very tied to voters’ views of President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump. When Democrats had the advantage at the beginning of 2021, Biden’s approval numbers were pretty high,” the Western Journal reported.

Biden’s numbers have taken a pretty big tumble due to his failure in handling COVID, the troop withdrawal in Afghanistan, and soaring inflation. And other Democrats have joined him for the ride down the toilet.

According to this piece, billionaire Michael Bloomberg, a failed 2020 presidential candidate, issued a pretty serious warning to the Democratic Party concerning the midterms, saying they are headed for a total wipeout if some issues aren’t addressed.

“The political earthquake that just occurred in San Francisco should be a dire warning to the national Democratic Party, because the same fault line stretches across the country and the tremors are only increasing,” Bloomberg stated in a piece he penned for The Washington Post on Tuesday.

“I continue to believe that a healthy and vibrant Democratic Party remains essential to beating back the Republican Party’s dangerous turn toward authoritarianism and its tolerance for election subversion,” Bloomberg said.

“But I am deeply concerned that, absent an immediate course correction, the party is headed for a wipeout in November, up and down the ballot,” he added.

Let’s hope they are headed for a wipeout and we can take control of Congress and stop the disastrous work that Biden is doing in office.

  1. All it takes is some common sense to see where the Dems want to take us which is not in the right direction. They seem to major on minor issues that don’t affect the grand majority of the citizenry. They may have the totally immersed Progressives, but that is a very minor part of the U.S. population. I’m from SC and heard about this lady’s switch, but didn’t know she was black. Good for her. I give her kudos for having the guts to do what she did. Most people don’t know this, but the first blacks in SC that ran for office were Republicans. I don’t know how or when the switch came to become Dems, but I think the tide is starting to switch back again. Let’s hope for the sake of this country.

    Hmmm, something doesn’t sound right?

    • You have to remember, she’s a county council member which doesn’t have the same political ramifications as a state house or senate seat and especially that of a U.S. House or Senate seat. Her issues are more local and that means for the most part, getting services to her constituents. She gives her history as pro-life and conservative. She looked at what the national Democrat party stood for and decided that wasn’t her. She became a Dem because that’s what her family was, but saw the big discrepancy from who she knew she was and what the national party was. It just took a little time from being elected to see the true discrepancy. I don’t see a big problem with it. Sometimes it takes a little different angle to notice the difference and I’m sure she heard plenty in her position that made it stand out in her mind and thus, the switch. At least she had the courage to do so.
