BREAKING: Stunning Change In Abortion Rate After 30-Year Trend

(Republican Insider) – A new study that has been released just ahead of a potentially historic Supreme Court ruling that could see Roe v. Wade overturned has found that abortions in the U.S. have increased after almost three decades of decline.

According to a report from WND, the number of abortions that have been performed, along with the rate of abortions between 2017 and 2020 has increased, according to data from the extremely pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute (screenshot here).

The institute says the reversal highlights the “need for abortion care in the United States is growing just as the U.S. Supreme Court appears likely to overturn or gut Roe v. Wade.”

“Guttmacher’s Abortion Provider Census, which the organization touts as ‘the most comprehensive data collection effort on abortion provision in the United States,’ indicates there were 8% more abortions in 2020 than in 2017,” the report continued.

“The Supreme Court released six decisions on Wednesday, but the closely watched Mississippi case, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, was not among them,” WND reported.

The Dobbs case is based on a challenge of a Mississippi law that bans all abortions after 15 weeks, except for in cases of medical emergencies and fetal abnormality.

Just last month, in May, a draft of the majority opinion that would overturn the Roe decision, along with nearly 50 years of court rulings that prevent individual states from being able to ban the vile murder of the unborn, was leaked to the public via Politico.

If Roe is overturned, there are currently 26 states that are certain or likely to ban abortion. That number needs to dramatically increase. Perhaps if Roe is indeed overturned, it will inspire those who understand the value of life to take a stand and create a movement to see the practice outlawed in their state.

“An increase in abortion numbers is a positive development if it means people are getting the health care they want and need. Rather than focusing on reducing abortion, policies should instead center the needs of people and protect their right to bodily autonomy,” Guttmacher stated.

According to the brand new set of data, there were 930,160 abortions performed in the United States, which is an increase of 8 percent from 862,320 abortions in 2017.

“The abortion rate increased from 13.5 abortions per 1,000 women aged 15–44 in 2017 to 14.4 per 1,000 women, a 7% increase,” WND stated.

It’s sickening to see how much progress the radical left has managed to have in convincing younger generations that it is perfectly acceptable to murder an unborn child in the womb, which should be the safest place a child can be in the world.

Our society is falling quickly for the snares set by the radical left, which threaten to entrap young people and enslave them to the progressive agenda. Let’s hope we see the court overturn Roe and this practice gets outlawed all across the U.S.
