(Republican Insider) – The Department of Homeland Security (you know, the agency tasked with protecting Americans domestically) has totally shifted its focus and purpose.
Now, instead of ensuring the US is safe from dangerous foreign invaders, they’ve made it their top priority to continue the Biden regime’s attack on American political dissidents.
Protecting the US isn’t even on their radar anymore as evidenced by the ongoing crisis along our southern border.
The DHS is attempting to fight so-called “extremism” within its own ranks. Their latest ambitions have been detailed in a report that recommends the agency spend more time scanning the social media accounts of its own employees in order to detect this “extremism.”
What is “extremism” according to DHS, you might ask? Some examples of this dangerous “extremism” are cited by the agency including a belief that there was fraud in the 2020 election or objections to COVID mitigation efforts.
From the DHS report, obtained by Reclaim The Net:
A March 2021 unclassified threat assessment prepared by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), Department of Justice, and DHS, noted that domestic violent extremists “who are motivated by a range of ideologies and galvanized by recent political and societal events in the United States pose an elevated threat to the Homeland in 2021.” The assessment pointed to newer “sociopolitical developments such as narratives of fraud in the recent general election, the emboldening impact of the violent breach of the U.S. Capitol, conditions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and conspiracy theories promoting violence” that “will almost certainly spur some [domestic violent extremists] [sic] to try to engage in violence this year.”
As you can see, the report shows that DHS has increased the amount of concern and attention they are putting into rooting out “extremists” within the agency except the criteria for being considered an “extremist” only seem to describe political dissidents rather than actual extremists.
That’s the whole point but they think we’re all too stupid to notice.
The report also says:
Studies and pilots have suggested that certain online activity may represent behavior of potential concern to national security and could be useful in assessing an individual’s trustworthiness, judgment, or reliability. [Publicly Available Electronic Information], including social media checks, have proven to be of limited value as stand-alone sources of information. However, when coupled with and corroborated by other data and investigative follow-up, the use of PAEI can be a powerful tool in preventing and detecting domestic violent extremism-related threats.
Never mind the flood of unvetted, illegal aliens via our southern border. It’s Americans who pose the greatest threat to the US. Anyone who doesn’t fully trust and embrace the federal government is surely a dangerous extremist!
This is utter lunacy.
The DHS can’t expect the American people to actually take them seriously anymore. Unfortunately, they hold the power. It’s no coincidence that the Biden regime is adamantly pushing their “clean energy” agenda and wants everyone to go out and buy electric cars.
Before you know it, DHS will be handing out social credit scores and locking down our cars when we fail to score high enough.
