GOP Congressman Raises Concerns On Massive IRS Munitions Stockpile

(Republican Insider) – Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida has decided to show the entire country how bold and brave he actually is by taking a stand against the most well-armed and dangerous force ever assembled against the citizens of this beautiful country of ours.

Who might that be, you ask?

According to Fox News, the congressman is taking on the Internal Revenue Service, asking the one question that we all desperately need the answer to: Why has the Biden administration’s IRS bought more than $700K worth of ammunition?

I mean, they are only supposed to be accountants going about the work of enforcing tax laws and investigating fraud. They are not a group of armed soldiers who are to be sent out to collect the taxes they want to take at gunpoint. They already sort of do that with the whole, “pay your taxes or go to jail” thing anyway. Why the need for all these bullets?

“During just these first seven months of 2022, the IRS has purchased $725,000 worth of ammunition,” according to Gaetz.

“I’m not against stockpiling ammunition, but you shouldn’t have to be a D.C. accountant to do it; you ought to be able to be a mechanic in Pensacola,” he stated during an interview with Fox News. He then pointed out that the Biden administration is seeking to “disarm Americans, open the border, empty the prisons,” and “still collect your taxes” with $725,000 worth of ammunition to do it, he went on to explain.

While conducting his interview with Watters, Gaetz said, “Call me old-fashioned, but I thought the heaviest artillery an IRS agent would need would be a calculator. I imagine the IRS in green eyeshades and cubicles — not busting doors down and emptying Glock clips on our fellow Americans. Certainly, it’s troubling that in 2022 alone, the IRS has spent around $725,000 on ammunition. So here’s the Biden plan: Disarm Americans, open the border, empty the prisons — but rest assured, they’ll still collect your taxes, and they need $725,000 worth of ammunition, apparently, to get the job done.”

“‘Tax cheat’ isn’t usually a term we hear alongside ‘armed and dangerous.’ And there was a report that showed over a 10-year period, the IRS actually stockpiled $11 million worth of ammunition,” the congressman added.

“That’s why I’m working on legislation to put a total moratorium on the IRS buying ammo. When we used to talk about the IRS being weaponized, we were talking about political discrimination, not actual weapons for the IRS,” Gaetz continued.

In order to fight back against this, Gaetz and Reps. Jeff Duncan of South Carolina, Paul Gosar of Arizona, and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, have cosponsored the “Disarm the IRS” bill.

Duncan got on Twitter during the middle part of June to ask about why the IRS needs to have such “heavy firepower” for enforcing tax laws against the American people.

“The four Representatives will need to shepherd the bill through the House Ways and Means Committee before it can be considered by the full House of Representatives, a process replete with opportunities for House Democrats to slow or even kill it,” The Western Journal reported.

The IRS itself says that they are an agency tasked with conducting investigations into “potential criminal violations of the Internal Revenue Code and related financial crimes in a manner that fosters confidence in the tax system and compliance with the law.”

Why does any of that require a large cache of ammunition? You see, the Second Amendment was designed to provide the American people with the means of protecting their lives, liberty, and property from tyrants and criminals. It was not affording the same level of protection to the federal government. When the government starts massively arming its agencies, you know that some sort of oppression is coming down the pike. The writing is on the wall, so to speak.

In 2020, OpenTheBooks.com reported that the IRS is in possession of an arsenal that includes the following weapons:

-3,282 pistols
-621 shotguns
-539 rifles
-15 fully automatic firearms
-4 revolvers

Then the Government Accountability Office broke down the agency’s large stockpile:

-Pistol and revolver rounds: 3,151,500
-Rifle rounds: 1,472,050
-Shotgun rounds: 367,750
-Fully automatic firearm rounds: 56,000

Gaetz himself did not provide a theory for why, exactly, Biden’s IRS would need to purchase this much ammunition, though he did speculate that it could be some sort of tactic geared toward denying the supply of ammo to the average citizen.

“Undeniably, part of the strategy is that with one hand, the Biden regime is doing everything they can to suppress access to ammunition for regular Americans, while with the other hand, they are scooping up all of the ammo that they can possibly find,” he said.

I mean, what justification, besides the speculation Gaetz offered above, could there be for having tax collectors coming out with the same level of firepower as an infantry battalion? It just doesn’t make sense any other way.

  1. The feds wsnt to deny the average citizen the right to defend themselves according to our second amendment rights yet the fed wants to out law semiauto rifles and pistoles and 9mm rounds. While on the other hand the fed uses our tax dollars to purchase fully automatic rifles and semiautomatic pistols chambering 9mm and other equally lethal high velocity rounds. Sounds like the feds are trying to disarm Americans while at the same time arming up the IRS to forcefully confiscate American citizens personal property. IRS was never intended to personally enforce laws, thats what the local law enforcement was intended for, with warrants from the courts. Now the feds are using IRS thugs equipped with body armor and arms they want to deny citizens. If this ain’t tryanny I don’t know whatelse to call it. IRS agents are not justice department agents, they are supposed to be authorized to investigate tax fraud, not physically remove possessions from citizens.

  2. The real reason Federal Agencies are arming an stockpiling is worse than you can imagine. It’s also why they’re trying like mad to disarm America. This country is closer now to a full blown Rebellion, than at any time in the last 100 years. Arming Federal agencies give McSniffy Schitz-His-Pants a few thousand more troops loyal to him.
