(Republican Insider) – It’s ironic that the left has a propensity for calling the right “extremists” when it’s routinely unhinged leftists who are involved with violent outbursts.
Last week, on Thursday afternoon, a car with anti-Trump bumper stickers careened through the windows of a pro-Trump store in Easton, Massachusetts.
The front of the “New England for Trump” store was hit by a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta around 5 pm Thursday afternoon. Officers arrived on the scene around 5:10 pm and fortunately only one employee was in the store at the time and was not injured.
Footage of the incident was caught on security cameras inside the store and shared by the Easton Police Department.
The store’s owner, Keith Lambert, told WCVB-TV that just prior to the incident “there was a little boy with his mother shopping right in that spot,” and added, “The clerk was about to go to the bathroom and he would’ve gotten hit.”
“Thank God nobody got hurt, that’s all I can say,” Lambert added.
Photographs taken by photographer Marc Vasconcellos showed a cartoon image of Trump on the Volkswagen’s bumper.
The words “Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities” attributed to Voltaire were placed on top of the portrait of the nation’s 45th president. How ironic for someone who just blasted their car through the front of a store not knowing if there were people standing in their path. Disgusting.

The caricature of Trump included a barcode on his upper lip, indicating an attempt by the sticker artist to make Trump appear like Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.
The Jetta was driven by 46-year-old Sean Flaherty when it came flying through the store’s windows. He was taken to the Good Samaritan Medical Center, according to police.
Flaherty, a resident of Raynham, did not sustain any life-threatening injuries.
“At this time Flaherty has been charged with reckless operation of a motor vehicle and malicious destruction of property,” Deputy Police Chief Keith Boone said. Flaherty might face additional charges as well, according to Boone, who also said Officer Chris Aker has been assigned to investigate the incident.
“A request was also made to the Registry of Motor Vehicles to revoke Flaherty’s license as an immediate threat,” Boone further stated.
The crash comes just weeks after the Department of Homeland Security issued a warning as part of a June 7 National Terrorism Advisory System bulletin that the nation could see an increase in political violence including violence against “perceived ideological opponents” in the coming months.
“As the United States enters mid-term election season this year, we assess that calls for violence by domestic violent extremists directed at democratic institutions, political candidates, party offices, election events, and election workers will likely increase,” the bulletin stated.
Of course, the majority of the violence always seems to come from one side of the political aisle.
