(Republican Insider) – A single mom from Canada has had her bank account frozen after she donated $50 to the Freedom Convoy, according to MP Mark Strahl.
This, of course, is what happens when a tyrannical government seizes “emergency powers” as a means of trying to silence the opposition to their policies. And if you don’t think it can happen here, you better think again. Progressives in our government are just dying to get ahold of enough political power to smack conservatives into silence over vaccine mandates.
According to a report from Gateway Pundit, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau assumed emergency powers last week as a means of breaking up the Freedom Convoy trucker protest.
The report revealed that Trudeau has also frozen the financial accounts of the truckers who took part in the protest, along with others who donated money to the Freedom Convoy.
“Briane is a single mom from Chilliwack working a minimum wage job. She gave $50 to the convoy when it was 100% legal. She hasn’t participated in any other way. Her bank account has now been frozen. This is who Justin Trudeau is actually targeting with his Emergencies Act orders.” Member of Parliament for Chilliwack, Mark Strahl went on to say on Sunday.

“Thank you to those who have read this and offered to help someone you’ve never met,” Mark Strahl posted in a tweet. “Shame on those who have read it and attacked someone you’ve never met. I will keep working with Briane to resolve this matter with her bank and will provide updates as they are made available.”
“To those of you, especially the media, demanding more details on Briane, having seen what has been said about her online today and what has been done to other convoy donors in the last weeks I am not going to help you dox her,” Strahl said. “I know who she is and I won’t stop fighting for her.”

Can you imagine if Trump had tried to do to BLM what Trudeau is doing to the truckers? The media would have called for his immediate impeachment. Banks would have refused to cooperate—hell, they’d have released statements saying they stand with the protesters against Trump.

Over the course of the weekend, power hungry police officers trampled over peaceful protesters with horses, which left an indigenous elder injured.
A report from the Daily Mail said, “Meanwhile, Canadian trucker Derek Brouwer told Fox News that his truck has been seized, and that his personal and business bank accounts have been frozen since Friday, because of his involvement with the protests.”
“They’ve taken my truck – I don’t know where it is – and on Friday, they locked up my personal and my trucking business accounts,” he went on to say during the interview.
He then said that they have also locked the account of another business he owns which has absolutely nothing to do with the protest. Brouwer added that he still hasn’t heard anything from either the police or the government on what he needs to do next.
Brouwer said he’s working with the bank to fix the situation, however, he wasn’t getting anywhere on Monday as it was a bank holiday in Canada.
