State Supreme Court Tosses Democrats’ Race-Based Election Map

(Republican Insider) – The Democrats are still trying their hardest to ensure we never have free and fair elections ever again.

It’s pretty astounding when you think about how adamant leftists have been that the 2020 election was totally safe and the “most secure” in US history but also how hard they’ve worked to overhaul that very system.

They actually think Americans are too stupid to see the truth.

Fortunately, all is not yet lost in America. In Wisconsin, the state Supreme Court dealt a crushing blow to Democrats’ hopes and dreams of rigging the upcoming midterm elections by rejecting a redistricting map drawn up by state Democrats and adopting one done by Republicans instead.

The state’s high court made the decision last week after the US Supreme Court threw out the voting map for state elective offices drawn up by Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers (Dem) in March.

With its 4-3 decision Friday, the court issued its ruling so late that state Democrats likely will not have time to fight the implementation of the Republican-drawn districting plan for the 2022 midterms, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported.

Naturally, Democrats are throwing a tantrum with Gov. Evers calling the court’s ruling an “outrageous” and “unconscionable miscarriage of justice” and even claimed that “our democracy is under near-constant attack” by those on the right.

In reality, the court’s decision is a win for democracy in the US.

Friday’s decision only affects state legislative offices, the Journal-Sentinel reported. The U.S. Supreme Court upheld Evers’ plan for congressional districts in March.

Despite it seeming like the GOP voting plan will most certainly be implemented for the 2022 elections, Democrats are still scheming and considering further court challenges against the map for 2024, according to the Journal-Sentinel.

Democrats are outrageously claiming the Republicans’ map somehow violates the federal Voting Rights Act. Of course, that’s a bunch of nonsense.

The Journal-Sentinel reported that the drama started after Evers released his plan and state Republicans objected to it because it increased Milwaukee’s black-majority districts from six to seven, even though the city’s black population did not grow to justify adding a district.

The new map approved by the courts goes in the opposite direction by reducing the black-majority districts in Milwaukee from six to five.

The court, however, said Evers failed to prove his case.

“The Governor did not present evidence of a (Voting Rights Act) violation, despite drawing maps on the basis of race. He produced no evidence of electoral history and no district-specific evidence demonstrating that the black communities he moved among districts would be denied the opportunity to effectively participate in democracy absent his proposed district lines,” Chief Justice Annette Ziegler wrote in the court’s decision.

Democrats continue to use race as a justification for their anti-democratic election chicanery. Thankfully, the Wisconsin Supreme Court was having none of it.
