(Republican Insider) – If you don’t think that tyranny is knocking on the door of the United States through the use of the insanely stupid mandates and other directives the left has concocted to handle the COVID pandemic, then perhaps you need to pay more attention to what is happening right now in the country of Austria.
According to WND, there’s currently a national lockdown in the country for only those who remain unvaccinated, and to ensure this lockdown is enforced, local police in Austria are currently patrolling stores and stopping vehicles to check the vaccination status of citizens who are out and about.
Sound familiar?
That’s what happened in Nazi Germany.
“An Austrian television news report showed officers stopping shoppers at a retail outlet and ordering them to display on their smartphones verification that they had been vaccinated for COVID-19,” the report said.
“Reacting to a spike in COVID cases and ICU patients, Austrian Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg said Sunday that people who are unvaccinated can leave their homes only for “essential reasons” such as shopping for food,” the report continued.
“In reality we have told one third of the population: You will not leave your apartment anymore apart from for certain reasons. That is a massive reduction in contacts between the vaccinated and the unvaccinated,” Schallenberg went on to say.
If you are a person who is caught away from your home without having proof of vaccination, you might end up being fined 500 euros, which is equivalent to $572. A person who refuses to be checked faces a much steeper fine of 1,450 euros, or $1,658, according to BBC News.
As of now, almost 37 percent of the population of the Central European nation has not taken the vaccine.

Karl Nehammer, the country’s interior minister, has issued a rather stern warning to the people of Austria during a news conference last Sunday.
“As of tomorrow, every citizen, every person living in Austria, must be aware that they can be checked by the police at any time,” he stated.
Wow. Just wow.
Don’t these people see how eerie this kind of stuff is? It’s the same kind of mentality that the Nazis possessed back in the 1930s and 1940s in Europe when they wanted to check everyone’s papers. Instead of Jews being specifically targeted, it’s anyone who refuses to inject an experimental vaccine into their bodies.
The denial of bodily autonomy here is appalling. And if you don’t think this can happen in the United States, you better think again. Liberals are just itching to put a policy like the one in Austria into place.

A Twitter user who stated that she lives in Austria, Anna S. Phillips, said that she is “20 years old and healthy yet the government denies my freedom.”
“I see too many thanking the government for stepping in, for taking care of the situation, the unhinged unvaccinated,” she said in her post. “This country hasn’t learned one lesson of its own history and it shows.”
“In neighboring Germany, Reuters reported, the federal government and leaders of Germany’s 16 states will meet next week to discuss tightening measures against the spread of COVID-19,” the WND report said.
Apparently, Germany already requires anyone coming from Austria to go into quarantine, which is a huge blow to winter tourist industry in Austria.
