WATCH: You Won’t Believe What Buttigieg Says Inflation Is An Opportunity To Do

(Republican Insider) – We all know that the modern Democratic Party is composed of socialists who are doing their absolute worst to ensure that our system of government and economics collapses so they can rebuild a Marxist version of America and redistribute wealth.

The thing is, we’re not used to hearing these evil suckers come right out and admit it. Yet that’s precisely what Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said he should do in light of inflation.

According to WND, Buttigieg stated during an interview with George Stephanopoulos on the Sunday program, “This Week,” that the government should fight inflation by taking taxpayer money and using it to subsidize basic household expenses for Americans, such as child care, housing, medicine, and other things.

He then suggested that the Biden administration should take steps even further to the left than that by using the historically high price hikes we’re experiencing as an opportunity for the government to take some ownership of fuel and food and resell it to folks at a lower price.

“Stephanopoulos, the former political strategist for Bill Clinton, cited a New York Times op-ed by Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna of California calling for Biden to form ‘an emergency task force empowered to lower prices and address shortages,'” the report said.

“Buttigieg said in response to the Khanna plan that the president is open to ideas proposed in ‘good faith’ to accompany his own plan,” the report continued. “To cushion the effect of inflation, Biden has proposed pouring $1.75 trillion over the next decade into government programs, including subsidizing basic goods.”

Back in March, Chris Edwards, a tax policy expert with the Cato Institute, issued a warning that Biden’s plan “to increase all kinds of subsidies would just add more fuel to the inflation fire.”

“When the government subsidizes industries, it bloats industry costs, as we see in education, health care and other areas,” he went on to say during an interview with the Washington Times.

Stephanopoulos, focusing the conversation on the issue of gas prices, stated during the program Sunday that Biden’s plan to tap into the Strategic Oil Reserve has not made any significant difference.

Buttigieg, a true team player, disputed that claim, proceeding to blame oil companies for the high prices.

“When an oil company is deciding hour by hour how much to charge you for a gallon of gas, they are not calling the administration to ask what they should do,” he remarked. “They’re doing it based on their goal of maximizing their profits.”

These people want to burn this nation to the ground, folks. Here we have it spoken in plain English.
