(Republican Insider) – There’s always been a bit of a contentious relationship between Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy and White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, but, for the most part, while the two do get heated at times, they usually still remain professional. Well, that sort of came to an end this week when Doocy asked Jean-Pierre about President Joe Biden stating he had met with a French president not long after taking office, who, it turns out, has actually been dead for almost thirty years. This is not a good look for those who claim Biden is in top cognitive condition.
When Doocy asked this question, it looked as if KJP would probably throw in the towel and give up attempting to provide a genuine answer. I mean, this is sort of indefensible, right? Clearly, this man is going senile. We don’t have to pretend he’s not. I will legitimately be shocked if Biden is the Democratic Party nominee come November.
“Now, Jean-Pierre and her colleagues in the Biden administration never react particularly well when confronted with Biden’s clear cognitive impairment, but no one can spin his gaffe in Nevada over the weekend as anything but a sign that Sleepy Joe should be napping in a rocking chair at the old folks’ home,” The Western Journal reported.
“Not only did Biden, when trying to brag about his accomplishments as president, describe a meeting with world leaders in 2021 as including Francois Mitterrand, who left the office of president of France in 1995 and died in 1996, but he also initially described Mitterrand as the German rather than the French president,” the piece continued.
This is not a healthy sign:
Joe Biden said that he recently met with “Mitterand from Germany.”
Mitterand was the FRENCH President between 1981 and 1995 and died in 1996.

One thing that could have allowed Jean-Pierre to somewhat save face would have been preparing a response to the question beforehand. There’s no way she didn’t know this was going to be asked.

During the press conference, Doocy asked Jean-Pierre, “How is President Biden ever going to convince the three-quarters of his voters who are worried about his physical and mental health that he is OK, even though in Las Vegas he told a story about recently talking to a French president who died in 1996?”
Jean-Pierre didn’t even bother attempting to defend the president. Instead, she gave Doocy a look reminiscent of that plastered on the face of a mother with 12 kids before saying, “I’m not even going to go down that rabbit hole with you, sir” and then tried to call on a different reporter.
Doocy was not taking “no” for an answer, firing off, “What is the rabbit hole?”
“You saw the president in Vegas, in California. You’ve seen the president in South Carolina. You saw him in Michigan. I’ll just leave it there,” she replied. Okay. That’s not really an answer. Those are statements, sure, but not answers.
“We could almost sympathize with her clear exhaustion in fielding questions about Biden’s senility if she didn’t answer almost every question from people she doesn’t like that way. The uncomfortable reality, at least for those trying to get worst president in recent history re-elected, is that simply seeing the old man make appearances all over the country is not the “gotcha” Jean-Pierre wants it to be,” The Western Journal stated.
What KJP’s response to Doocy indicates is that it is getting harder and harder for the radical left to defend President Biden and hide his cognitive issues. Quite frankly, he’s messing up so much in public right now it’s likely impossible for them to keep track. That is only going to get worse as the election cycle this year rolls toward November.
It’s also getting easier, at this point, for them to cook up some sort of excuse to remove Biden as the nominee and replace him with say, oh, I don’t know, Michelle Obama. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
