(Republican Insider) – There’s yet again been a massive shake up within the Democratic Party, their façade of unity continues to crack, as former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has now joined a call made by radical left-wingers in Congress to stop sending U.S. weapons overseas to the Jewish nation of Israel. The group of leftists are pointing to a recent incident where seven aid workers ended up getting killed in the Gaza Strip during an Israeli drone strike.
According to The Western Journal, “A letter to President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken, released on Friday and signed by 40 of the leftiest members of Congress, urged the pair to withhold a recently approved arms package ‘and any future offensive arms transfers until a full investigation into the airstrike is completed.'”
“If this strike is found to have violated U.S. or international law, we urge you to continue withholding these transfers until those responsible are held accountable,” it added.
“We also urge you to withhold these transfers if Israel fails to sufficiently mitigate harm to innocent civilians in Gaza, including aid workers, and if it fails to facilitate – or arbitrarily denies or restricts – the transport and delivery of humanitarian aid into Gaza,” the letter stated.
“It was sent by Wisconsin Rep. Mark Pocan, Massachusetts Rep. Jim McGovern and Illinois Rep. Jan Schakowsky alongside signatures from 37 other Democrats that included “squad” members Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib and Jamaal Bowman,” the report said.
Another one of the signatures listed on the letter belonged to none other than Nancy Pelosi.

It might not seem like a big deal for a signature to be on a letter, but this is a clear signal to both the president and Blinken that the false unity the Democratic Party has put on in the past is breaking apart slowly, but surely. In other words, they are losing what was once their greatest strength.
“Pelosi, who held the position of speaker twice, first during the Obama presidency, then during the Trump presidency, rose to the top of the House Democrats and remained there so long because she represented the party’s moderates,” the WJ noted.
President Biden himself has started to come down harder on Israel, even going so far as to threaten Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu due to the recent drone incident. However, as of now, these are still only threats, the White House has not taken any action against the Jewish state.
Blinken came out and proclaimed the future of American policy as it concerns Israel largely depends on “changes that we need to see.” What are these changes he speaks of? There weren’t any details provided at the time, simply that something needed to change.
