(Republican Insider) – Despite the fact that Joe Biden is a puppet for the Chinese Communist Party and that the US has absurdly pro-Chinese policies in place under the current regime, that isn’t giving the US any kind of privileges with China.
Tensions are heating up as Chinese officials have doubled down on their opposition to a planned visit by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan.
According to Fox News, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said on Monday, “The Chinese side has made it clear to the U.S. on many occasions that it is firmly opposed to Speaker Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan. We are fully prepared.”
“If the U.S. goes its own way, China will certainly take firm and forceful measures to safeguard its national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and the United States should be held responsible for any serious consequences,” he added.

Meanwhile in Taiwan, air raid drills have been going on and the sirens could be heard in the capital of Taiwan while the island nation’s military has reportedly mobilized, according to The Associated Press.
“Air raid sirens were sounded in the capital Taipei and the military was holding its annual multi-day Han Kuang drills, including joint air and sea exercises and the mobilization of tanks and troops,” the AP reported.
The AP noted that there was no “direct link” between the military ramping up activity in Taiwan and the controversial Pelosi visit but that it underscores “the possibility of a renewed crisis in the Taiwan Strait, considered a potential hotspot for conflict that could envelop the entire region.”
Reuters reports that Zhao’s statements confirmed a Financial Times report on Saturday that the communist government has delivered what it called a “private warning” to the Biden White House that a visit by Pelosi would have serious repercussions.
China has made claims on Taiwan saying it’s a breakaway part of China rather than an independent nation.
“Beijing has not been explicit about its potential reaction. Its military could try to block Pelosi from landing in Taiwan or take other actions to impede her visit, such as using fighter jets to intercept her US military aircraft,” Financial Times reported.
Either way, Zhao made it clear to reporters that they aren’t taking the prospect of Pelosi visiting Taiwan lightly.
“We are seriously prepared,” he told reporters when asked to comment on the Financial Times report, adding that “The United States should be held responsible for any serious consequences.”
Joe Biden said last week that the military is concerned about Pelosi visiting Taiwan.
“Well, I — I think that — the military thinks it’s not a good idea right now, but I don’t know what the status of it is,” Biden told reporters Wednesday.
According to the New York Post Pelosi’s potential visit had not been confirmed by the speaker’s office and could be scheduled for the month of August.
This is what happens when the US administration is weak. China has no respect for Joe Biden and the US and they know Biden won’t dare stand up to them.
Former Republican Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, blasted the Biden regime on Monday for not even being strong enough to protect Pelosi should she visit Taiwan.
“What is the Pentagon thinking when it publicly warns against Speaker Pelosi going to Taiwan?” the Republican wrote in a Twitter post.
“If we are so intimidated by the Chinese Communists we can’t even protect an American Speaker of the House why should Beijing believe we can help Taiwan survive,” Gingrich said. “Timidity is dangerous.”

Interestingly, Gingrich was the last House speaker to visit Taiwan, in 1997.
